Company Description
Optimum Patient Care (OPC) is a UK social enterprise that provides free clinically led quality improvement programmes into GP practices and supports practices to take part in research. OPC maintains and manages the Optimum Patient Care Research Database (OPCRD), which provides anonymised patient data for ethics approved scientific and medical research. We work with over 1000 general practices across the UK in our network and database.
Role Description
This is a part-time hybrid role as a Healthcare Assistant at Optimum Patient Care. Travelling to our GP surgeries which are located in and around Yorkshire and Staffordshire approx 2/3 days a week, then admin at home for the rest of the time.
Assist the Respiratory Physiologist or other Healthcare professional in clinical investigations
Patient flow management during clinics
Promote effective communication within the multi-disciplinary team
Contacting patients by telephone
Updating patient information into company systems
Supporting patients to complete health questionnaires
To participate in patient care before during and after the spirometry clinic
Prepare the clinic area
Qualifications
Clinical Experience, including performing Spirometry is desirable.
No formal training is required however this role would suit those with a background in a healthcare or research environment
Clinical trials experience is desirable, but not essential
You will be a strong communicator, able to speak to healthcare professionals and the public, putting patients at ease.
Access to a car is essential as you will be required to attend clinics at various locations
